Beau Séjour Celsi

Moneglia can count in its history some very important figures, whose fame is recognized worldwide: Luca Cambiaso, one of the great Italian Renaissance Painters was born in Moneglia in 1527.

The striking beauty of the sea, the coastline and the surrounding green hills were all elements that transformed this village into the summer residence of many well-to-do Genoese families during the past centuries.
This highly regarded tourist resort, located in the very south of the Tigullio Gulf, offers tourists a welcoming holiday with a difference.

Moneglia, named Monilia by the Romans, is an old Ligurian village that still today has a magical calm and quiet quality, revealing a hidden beauty that makes it a little different from the busiest resorts on the Italian Riviera, with Portofino to the West and The Cinque Terre to the East. Felice Romani, the librettist and poet, author of Norma, Bellini’s refined musical verses, also lived and died in Moneglia in 1865.

Stunning scenery, history and culture make it the ideal location for you to enjoy in the holiday flats of

How to get to Moneglia
Our holiday flats can be easily reached as Moneglia is located in the East of the Tigullio Gulf strategically placed between the most popular tourist resorts along the Ligurian Riviera. Portofino and Santa Margherita are to the West (27 kms), the Cinque Terre to the East. It is easy to get to Genoa by motorway or by train. The Aquarium, Palazzo Ducale, the Historic City Centre, Majestic Palaces and Museums are all worth a visit, as are Lucca, Pisa and Florence in nearby Tuscany.

There are sandy beaches and the gulf has dramatic sheer cliffs, coursed by maritime pine trees and Mediterranean vegetation, green, lush, sunny hills, Genoese ruined castle forts, narrow walkways that run through the historical centre, discreetly elegant town villas, and brightly coloured houses typical of Ligurian seaside towns. Along the luxuriant ‘Viale delle Palme’, flowering oleanders and pine trees line the streets of this old Mediterranean village.Moneglia is a renowned tourist spot and for many years has been awarded the Blue Flag for its unpolluted waters, it is recognized by Lega Ambiente (Environmentalists League), and is positioned in the centre of the charming gulf between Punta Rospo and Punta Moneglia.
